DARPAN Project – An AI-assisted Digital Twin for Sixth Sense 6G

DARPAN is a DoT-TTDF funded initiative at IIT Indore aimed at building reliable, AI-assisted Digital Twins for future 6G networks. We aim to design communication systems that act as a "sixth sense" — aware of their environment, capable of integrated sensing, and adaptive through real-time learning.

Key Objectives:
- Establish a 6G emulation test-bed with integrated sensing capabilities
- Design AI/ML-driven protocols for digital twin maintenance and updates
- Explore applications like AR/VR, Industrial XR, and remote automation
- Contribute to 3GPP standards and develop IPRs

ANRF PMECRG Project – Causal AI for XR Protocols

This ANRF-funded project focuses on creating causal, explainable, and adaptive AI-based protocols for Extended Reality (XR) services in 6G/7G networks. It aims to overcome current limitations in AI-driven scheduling by embedding causal inference into reinforcement learning algorithms.

Highlights:
- Develop a real-time XR test-bed using USRPs, Insta360 cameras, and Meta Quest headsets
- Simulate traffic using NS-3 and OMNeT++
- Design provable, performance-guaranteed causal RL protocols
- Required Skills: Strong background in probability, statistics and optimization used in AI/ML techniques
